The Mrs's old Corsa has finally given up the ghost, any tips on who best to scrap it with, i.e who pays the most & collects?

Drive it to a country lane, turn it over in a ditch and set fire to it.
Then report it stolen and claim on the insurance, making it up about an expensive set of golf clubs also in the car at the time.

Just buy a local paper and ring a few numbers .
I scrapped a fiesta two years ago and got fifty quid for it.

Don't know where you live, but the last car I scrapped, rather than sold, I donated to the Essex Fire Service, so they could practice cutting people out of a car crash, on it.
They collected it. Only condition was, that the car must be driveable, so they can manoeuvre it on their testing ground. Don't know if they still want cars for that, or if other brigades do.

I think it is done on weight and the value of scrap metal at the time, pretty much everyone gives the same price afaik.
